This is an awesome place for Mexican Cuisine. I wanted them to prepare the food real spicy and they did not disappoint. I had the Red Snapper along with rice. It was delicious. The raspberry margarita was nice too.
The food was perfect good portions and this is truly a family owned place. All the staff know how to make drinks so you don't wait around 10 minutes for drinks they are fast. It worth a drive out to Edward Air force base. It much closer to California city.
Gloria's has been great every visit I've had. Had dinner here on my last visit with my wife. It was a busy night, but still seated immediately. The atmosphere was bustling with everyone having a good time! There were a couple birthdays, and the guys birthday song performances were awesome, whole place gets involved. Wife had enchiladas, which she loves there and I had the carnitas plate for the first time and it was delicious, the pork was perfect, the portions were great, with rice and beans, and the pricing is perfect! Gloria's will continue to be the go to for Mexican cuisine when in California City!
The place is in a strip type mini mall. It is a little run down looking and the neighborhood does not project a comfy vibe, until you walk inside. We actually had a car pull up to us in the parking lot and ask us why we were there. Do not pick on looks, it is worth the stop and is great inside. The staff is great and even though "mom" allowed my guests to pay the bill when I had a deal set up with our server to pay, the fact that you have access to the family is great. The service is great. We had a large party of 16 and the service made us feel like we were the only ones there. Booze is fairly priced and it flows freely. The food was good. I had the fajitas and while i though it was a little light on the meat, (way more vegetables than meat) the flavor was good. My guests enjoyed theirs as well. Next time we race in Cal City, we will be back!
Average Mexican restaurant (definitely been to better!) Went as part of a family get together. Had the salmon salad which was so-so okay. Could have used some spinach instead of just chopped head lettuce.
