Cracked Egg Cafe

The Cracked Egg wasn’t open on Monday. The option was NOT enjoyable. From Tuesday through the rest of our week at Kern River, we loved the eggs Benedict, hash browns, pancakes, smooth and yummy coffee. Also, the staff is soooooo friendly.

We had the eggs Benedict every single morning!

The food is ok but staff is rude. I am used to places opening early since I live in LA. I called at 6:45 AM to place my order for pickup. The person who answered the phone was rude and she told me to call back and hung up on me. I figure they could of still have taken my order and I would pick up after 7:00. They don't have a website so there is no way to track when your order is ready. My suggestion to Cracked Egg Cafe is get a website and be nice to your customers or don't answer the phone if you are not open.

Very fast, very friendly and most of all very tasty. We only had an hour before our rafting trip so we phoned in a group order and it was ready within 15 minutes. We ordered 2 French toast, pancakes, vegetarian omelet, Cracked Egg skillet, and a Country skillet. I was shocked our food was ready so fast. It was exactly what we needed before tackling the Kern River.

Very good hole in the wall style cafe. Always love the breakfast. Service was good and fast!

For being such a small little place, WOW, THE SERVICE IS IDEAL AND THE FOOD. SERIOUSLY. THE FOOD WAS SO WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME. DELICIOUS. Who ever runs this little cafe, surely, knows what they are doing. Nothing feels more American to me than a mom and pop dinner, shabby and small, that produces food and service that are far beyond places that may be a little more "modernized." Don't fix what ain't broken, the cracked egg is perfect just the way it is!
