Old Mill Restaurant

Great staff. The food was just okay. Priced okay too, about the same money was spent as if we had gone to fast food (which is getting ridiculously expensive). My kids weren't too happy with the flies buzzing in the place. But we will come here again when we're looking for basic American food.

Great breakfast spot. I had the huevos divorciados (like huevos rancheros but half green salsa, half red). Was fabulous. Made with fresh tortillas from the tortilleria next door. Orange juice was fresh squeezed and huge glass. Coffee good as well.

Our first time here. Friend told us we should give it a try.. hubby had Huevos Rancheros, moderate portion, salsa very good. I had sausage & eggs. Came with 4 lil links, tasty but charged separately for them, eggs & hashbrowns cooked well, again a small to moderate portion. But hash browns flattened. So too crispy for my liking, prefer thicker pile so tender potato in center.. 1 slice of toast instead of 2, total $ 50. Lil high for breakfast, service very good, food good, so might try lunch and check that out.. place was sparkling clean. Relaxing. All in all...Will give it a second try..

During our journey, we decided to drop by for lunch at this restaurant. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who catered to our needs. Both of us opted for cheeseburgers - I paired mine with fries, while my girlfriend chose a salad. Thankfully, the burger wasn't a frozen patty, but it could have used more seasoning. My fries, unfortunately, were not as crispy as desired and seemed a bit soggy, as if the bag of fries had been left out to thaw before frying. On the other hand, my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her salad and remarked that the blue cheese dressing had a delightful, homemade taste. We also appreciated the cleanliness of both the restroom and the restaurant as a whole.

Ordered a standard, old fashioned cheeseburger. Perfectly grilled as requested and all additional veggie toppings were fresh and crisp.
There seemed to be something extra in the beef giving it a little spicy kick though there were no additional beef ingredients specified in the menu listing. Another patron noticed it (verifying I didn't imagine it) and asked what was added to the beef to give it the kick. Server appeared to have no knowledge of spices in the beef.

French fries were some of the best I've had in a long time and perfectly prepared.

Meal arrived hot and fresh.
Server knowledgeable and attentive.
Overall, the best burger I've had in Lake County in a long time.
Menu pricing was appropriate.
Dining area very clean and tastefully decorated.
Exterior fresh, new, well kept.

I hope they do well. They and their owner are a great addition to the community!
