Basically, this place is where you go when you have more money than usual. High quality bread, pastries, and cookies. There's a bit of a wait at the cashier, but that just means it's that popular. Their creams are not too heavy, sugar not to sweet, but just right. I got the mango cream bread and I gotta say, the insides of that bread felt like a genuine mango, down to the texture.
Nice place to meet over fresh baked goods. Huge selection of sweet and savory pastries. On Mondays, you can get 85 cent special drinks for a limited time.
This place may have the best cake ever! It was so delicious. Unfortunately don't have a photo because I ate it too fast! But definitely go here and try the blueberry one!
Quick summary:
- Sea Salt drinks are great
- Salted Butter Bread is good (as are the Spinach Kale Danish and the Hokkaido Cheese Tart)
- otherwise unnecessarily expensive
A solid variety of baked goods. The one thing that will make me stop by, however, is not any bread but their Sea Salt series (coffee or tea. They also have a Sea Salt Fruit Medley Smoothie, but the pineapple ended up WAY too strong for my taste). It's not the only place to have it, but it's a darn compelling reason to stop by because it's so good.
Their Salted Butter Bread is the one baked good I THOROUGHLY enjoy. (Make sure you gently steam and then lightly bake/toast it warm if you plan to eat it the next day.) They also have decent Hokkaido Cheese Tarts and a pretty good Spinach Kale Danish.
Other than those, it feels that their stuff errs on the expensive side simply because of their renown, but a lot of goods seem unnecessarily expensive, either because they're not particularly great or because other bakeries do a better job (and some are slightly expensive, at that).
