Moffett's Family Restaurant & Chicken Pie Shoppe

Decided to go to this restaurant on our last night visiting relatives. They recommended the place because of the beef and chicken pot pies. They were certainly correct. Our server Katie was polite and attentive even though she had several other customers. Looking forward to our next visit to the area and Moffett's for another meal.

Chicken pot pies, beef pot pies, comfort food entrees, lots of gravy. If you like individual meat pies with plenty of meat and gravy, this is a great place. The dinner set includes entree, salad, whipped potatoes with plenty of gravy and a slice of pie for dessert, all for about $13 or so. This week Moffet was celebrating Oktoberfest, so tonight's special was a smoked pork chop with sauerkraut and German potato salad (plus a piece of pie for dessert). The smoked pork chop was meaty, almost like ham in flavor. Both the sauerkraut and German potato salad were tart and tasty.
Oh did I mention the homemade bread? Our party of four received a small load of hot freshly baked bread with plenty of butter and honey. Yum

Very good home style food with a cozy family feel. The chicken/beef pies are their specialty and do not disappoint. Their other dishes are still good though. They are very consistent with good customer service and overall good taste of food. On the usually neglected review topic of the taste of their drinking water, it tastes really good and you can tell their drinking water carefully filtered. Also their iced tea is freshly brewed daily and tastes great.
