Best shabu-shabu in California. ....

Great place for shabu-shabu with reasonable price. There were multiple soup flavor to choose from and a large sections of different type of meat. The vegetables are free and you can always ask for more which is great to pair with the meat. The servers are quiet and always friendly but at time it felt a bit rushed but I can understand given that there are tons of people waiting outside. Will definitely come back again, but I think it might help if they have a reservation system.

Kokumi looks like it broke off from Mokoji for whatever reason as the staff is largely the same.

Firr Crab base was delicious. It's got spice, sweet, and seafood flavors going on all at once and I loved it.

Love the food variety: hot pot or sushi or ramen! Love to eat the salmon cheek. I'm glad they're open later than most bc I don't want to drive into congested areas at night.

My new favorite shabu shabu place.

I knew things were going to be interesting as soon as we sat down and they asked us to grind some sesame seeds in a mortar and pestle so we could have fresh sesame paste in our sauces. Fun!

Do you like interesting broths? They've got like six types. Try the kimchi broth.

Are you in the mood for fancy meat? They've got wagyu beef. They've got different cuts off sirloin. They've got pork belly. All tender and delicious.

Do you like interesting veggies? They've got like three kinds of greens, they've got kobocha squash. They've got tofu with their logo seared into it. Free refills on the veggies too!
