Bluewater Avalon

Our server, Betty, was awesome; very knowledgeable and super friendly. She suggested the fresh, line caught swordfish and since I now live in Idaho where fresh seafood isn't even in the vocabulary (🙃), I indeed ordered it and it was amazing! Makes me almost want to move back to SoCal. 😁

The winner of my Santa Catalina Island trip goes to “ Bluewater Avalon” this place is legit and to die for restaurant. No wonder why they’ve got a ton of good reviews on Google and now I’m reviewing this place too. The food here was over the top I cleaned all the plates, everything was fresh, the oysters (super fresh), scallops, cod, calamari and pasta all the dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and fast, the view from the restaurant was amazing. Thumbs up!!

Marjorie, our server, was one of the best servers I've had...EVER. She was easy-going, friendly, flexible, attentive to both adults and kids. She made great suggestions for the food and drink. Can't wait to go back there on my next visit to Catalina Island.

Recently I took a group of 5 people to Catalina Island for the day. There are many places to choose from on the island to eat, but we had a taste for seafood and Bluewater looked like the best place, in the area we were in. In short it was a great experience. Food was very good, atmosphere was excellent and the service was good for the time of the day (very busy when we were there, so it was slow). You are right on harbor, fresh breeze and air hitting you in the face while you enjoy your meal. Our bill was $600, ordered apps, drinks and the fresh catch of the day, so not overly pricey given what we ordered. I ordered the lobster roll and it was better than the one I reviewed in Maine this past June!
