La Tolteca

The food is decent but not amazing. I do like that you can order cooked meats by the pound to take our for a party. The restaurant is huge with lots of places to sit, the prices are good and comparable to other Mexican Restaurants. There is no actual waiters, you stand in line to order and place your number on the table. So if you need to get more food. You will need to stand in line again. I would of i thought that for the size of this place, they would at least have actual waiters or on table ordering.

Again, another quality Mexican restaurant I’ve grown up on living in the area. As much as I still love this restaurant, I’ve started to notice changes to the joint that I truly don’t like.

I think building the bar in the back was a mistake. Sure, offer margaritas, but this place became so popular on the foundation of families coming in. And when you’re back there, service is subpar. There’s a cocky bartender/server who insists on memorizing my order and gets it wrong every time. Not to mention will leave the bar unattended and lazily make drinks. I personally don’t drink, but just from observation, I would never order a cocktail here. If they don’t want to put any effort or care into their drinks, then I wouldn’t bother.

I love their food, but there are times that the food isn’t what it should be. You can tell which plates have been sitting under the lamp, drying out and losing flavor.

Celebrating 70 years in Azusa La Tolteca a Local Gem to the community Bringing Family and Friends Together at the Dinner table with the Authentic Mexican Cuisine Definitely a Standout amongst others A must try to all newcomers and a Go to for all Residents good food great service and excellent Salsa , try great burritos,tacos,seafood,in house tortillas,combination plates..Two thumbs up and Five stars all around feel blessed to have them around.

The food, ambiance and workers are all great. I've been here for my second time and its all been really good. The chicken tamale plate is my favorite so far. Can't wait to try the enchiladas. Had such a nice date here with my boyfriend. Thank you for everything.

This place is 70 yrs old! The food is good, haven't tried the margaritas. Ordering is backward or rather fast food style, you pay upfront and then they bring the food, but I still come every so often because its good.
