Absolutely delicious! First off, I love the cute aesthetic they have. The neon lights and chic plant settings give off a modern yet cozy vibe.
The menu has so much range! It combines classic Latin food but also incorporates an international taste and flare. I love the creative dishes and plating. I was excited to see what they would bring out next. Everyone in our party loved what they ordered.
The jalapeño margarita is a must! I tried the fish and asada tacos, bomb! They pork belly bites were also tasty. My friends ordered the nachos and salmon and they were also soooo delicious.
Finally to top it off, the staff were so attentive and friendly. Ceci was super sweet to us.
Can’t wait to come back, I truly wish I lived closer but it’s definitely worth the drive :)
Nice vibe. Great food. We had the breakfast burger, burrito, and a Michelada. Looking forward to coming back to trying out the rest of the menu items. This is a must try.
I'm rating this restaurant a 5 in anticipation.
It's a nice place with amazing staff.
The staff really made this piece a great place for this visit such great personalities and professionalism.
The food was OK... I'm hoping the food gets better ...it was not bad, but a little pricey, and the price would be fine if the flavour was better.
I know it's a bar, but the music was a little loud for conversation, and that's annoying.
We got fries and there were about 10 fries on each plate, again... not matching the price.
But I have feeling this restaurant will be really good... just a few food changes.
This is just my opinion.... give it a go... it's worth the visit.
Very considerate and earnest ensuring I left satisfied. I got the Mexican Candy shot (10/10 if you have a sweet tooth), and Pork Belly Bites. After enjoying the two for sometime my waitress checked in on me asking how there were. As I sat quiet for a few seconds thinking, she sensed I was displeased in some way, and offered to trade them out for something else if I didn’t like them. I said they were good, but just a little dry. She insisted I try the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp, and later came back saying she chef would like to remake the Pork-Belly Bites for me. But I was very satisfied with the shrimp. Very creamy when dipped in the house-made chipotle sauce. I will likely come back again for the shrimp, and some other drinks.
I was lucky to be part of Clandestino soft opening, a brand new spot in Azusa. I will share my experience in a few words:
Service 10/10,
- I was quickly & kindly greeted by the host. Despite being so crowded, my party of four was quickly sat & attended to by our server, Cecy. She was very attentive & polite. She kept up on my party very well.
Ambience 10/10
- I’ve lived in an Azusa for awhile & really appreciate the remodel from the restaurant it used to be. I loved the music selection, very fun, chill place.
Food 10/10
- My party got a few appetizers, entrees and drinks to share. We tried the shrimp lollipops & pork belly tacos, we were highly impressed by how fast the food came out, as well as by its taste & quality.
- For drink we got a margarita flight, beer & some micheladas. To keep it simple, they were amazing.
- For entrees, we had a ribeye steak & grilled chicken plate, also amazing.
Would definitely recommend & will be back very soon. Welcome to Azusa, Clandestino!
