We've been here several times, it's top rated dim sum restaurant. As we entered, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly.
Ordering is from a QR Code using your ohones camera. The web site is well organized with descriptions and photos, ordering is very simple.
We ordered a favorite, Honey Walnut Shrimp. It's the best anywhere! great tasting caramelized walnuts in honey. The shrimp were large and delightful with great taste. Highly recommended!
We also ordered Shrimp & Pork Siu-Mai with Truffle. These were full of rich tasting flavor and actually pretty bigm
Next up was Pork & Mushroom Congee. This soup was nicely flavored as well. Of course I have to throw Sriracha Sauce in it.
Overall, we weren't disappointed. Always a great meal. One can always judge a restaurant by thr amount of people who dine there. For lunch, it was full of happy customers.
OMG! We went to dim sum brunch and it was some of the best I've had!
We had the pork & shrimp Sui-Mei with truffle, egg yolk bun (no picture), crispy shrimp rice noodle roll, garlic egg plant, spinach shrimp dumpling, deep fried tofu with abalone sauce, and baked BBQ pork bun (very little breading, lots of filling)
Highly recommend!
Have been to this place several times; order to go, dine in, and take out. They served food very quickly after our order, and the food was pretty fresh and tasty. Per person cost including tax and tips (18%) is $30-40. I like all the items except the BBQ pork buns; I will revisit again but would skip the BBQ pork buns.
Worth every cent! The Lunasia experience is why there's a huge waiting list on weekends. The beauty of the restaurant, the light airy feel of the dining room, the polite yet efficient service staff, the modern QR code system of ordering, and DELICIOUS gourmet FOOD. THAT is what makes the Lunasia experience so elevated. It's a great place to go to feel special and to celebrate special events.
Yes, my party of four were seated right away on a week night and upon ordering we received the majority of our dishes very quickly. We then placed a second round and while they took longer to arrive, the wait wasn't unexpected given how busy the restaurant had become. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
Excellent dim sum, some of the best har gow ever. We also ordered crispy shrimp rolls, mixed puff with pork (ham sui kok (sp?)), fried tofu with abalone sauce, and lobster with e-fu noodle. Lobster sauce was a little more mild than I expected but still very good. I rate this at the top end of the LA area dim sum restaurants along with Sea Harbour in Rosemead. Both have the essential virtue of dim sum prepared to order instead of going around on carts, when it can all too often get cold. This place is a definite two thumbs up.
