When i went. The food was delicious. I haven't had such great soul food in years. The Best!!

It was a nice clean environment food was very nice especially the cat fish and peach cobbler. Want 2 thank them 4 their friendly professional services.

It's up and down. Sometimes it's outstanding, sometimes it's kind of bland. The Mac and cheese might be the worst mac and cheese I've ever had from a soul food spot. My mama's cooking is better, so their restaurant name is very true! But on the other hand, the wings and greens are very tasty. Cornbread is also a hit or miss. One time I had it, it was hard as a rock. They also never have sweet potato pie. Remove it from the menu. The people are quite nice tho and the setup is laid back.I have eaten here about 4 times and I don't think I will again after the last time I ate there they gave me these really deformed, black colored and tasteless fried chicken pieces. Potential here. Good luck
