Outstanding scene for quality Mexican food. Visited on a Wednesday I think. I'll return friends next time. The bill was reasonable I would say. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

I had reluctantly met a friend for lunch at Acapulco restaurant in Downey, the last time I had gotten there it was just average, nothing special. I think the best part of Acapulco at that time was the chips and salsa. They've always had great chips and salsa. The menu food was not good at all in my opinion. So they did all this remodeling some couple years back I guess, and my friend had suggested we meet at Acapulco. I tried to suggest other restaurants but he wanted Acapulco. So glad I was so agreeable and decided to go! The food was delicious! Service was excellent and fast, food was served hot as it should be. Great experience, will def be back again.
I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas, and fresg guacamole made at table side.

Been going to this restaurant when it was called the pyramids back in the 80s. Today’s dinning experience was okay, the food wasn’t bad but I tasted better. The tacos didn’t have much meat in them, the beans and rice didn’t have much flavor. The service could had been better, wasn’t bad but I continually had to ask for stuff (salsa and my drink). The place was busy but not overwhelming. The chips were warm. The cost was a bit high when comparing to the quality of food. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

We had dinner here and the service was slow. We ordered nachos but recieved our main course before the nachos. I asked them to remove it off the bill and they did. But had they been organized enough I would have enjoyed the nachos in ordered.
