Very good and authentic, and the place is clean! They also have a dining area. I've had tom yum, drunken noodle (spicy!), pad thai, squash dessert that I forgot the name, and rice pudding on different occasions, all good. Drunken noodle was generous with many large, fresh shrimps.
I wish they have online ordering though.
I have been waiting for another Thai Food place to open in the market. Thank you for the great food. Its a family owned -great personality as well. Its my regular hang out now for Thai Food.
Live this authentic Thai kitchen. All dishes are savory and I want to try them all. I had noodle dishes. There are just perfect heat for me. All dessert are so delicious. I bought a lot back home. They are fresh make daily. Kanom Chan and curry puff pie are my favorite. Oh! Mango sticky rice is also the killer. I cannot wait to go back to try other dishes. Thus small family business is where we should support. This us the hidden gems.
Lucky Thai Street Food opened for business in mid-July of 2022. Before Lucky opened, Hacienda Heights had not had a Thai restaurant between 2020 and 2022. Before the pandemic in 2020, Hacienda Heights had only one Thai restaurant at the same location, but it permanent closed down when the pandemic started in March 2020. Afterward, I had not been able to find another authentic Thai restaurant in Hacienda Heights or within the 15-minute-drive radius. So Lucky's opening has solved the problem of the dearth of authentic Thai restaurants in the vicinity.
Lucky's menu sticks to classic Thai without any fancy fusion or deviation; (there are two other restaurants in a nearby city that serve "fusion" or "Americanized" Thai instead of authentic Thai.) I visited Lucky on its third day of business. I ordered a Tom Yum chicken soup, which was served with a big bowl of white rice and a free Thai coffee or tea. Lucky is still a new business, so I think they are still experimenting with prices, menu items and portion sizes. When I visited the place, its prices are reasonable, the portions are generous (even with the inflation/shrinkflation that has been hitting the economy,) the place is clean, and the staff (which is an immigrant family) is friendly and eager to please.
Very good and quality food! Had the tom yum soup very good and delicious Definitely come try!
