Avila's El Ranchito

They restaurant is always a great location to visit. All of the staff is friendly and the food is so delicious. If you haven't already visited, to asap, oh and get a Cadillac Margarita (top shelf).

Friendly staff, great environment, good food. Were greeted by complimentary valet staff on a Saturday morning. Wait time can be a bit long thus the 3 stars. We waited by the door for 30 min. in what appeared to be a sea of waiting guests. Once we sat, all the fun happened. Food is very authentic Mexican food. Some regional. So, for example, the chilaquiles are rich with tomato as oppose to chile as is prepared in other regions of Mexico. So make sure to ask before you order esp. if you're expecting a certain style/flavor. Most dishes are your typical Mexican dishes, albeit done exceptionally well. This joint is a must try if near the area.

I always come here with my family we were greeted nicely, there was a big crowd but we only waited 4 mins. The food was great and the soup was great ????. I would recommend. The only thing that went wrong was the Mexican salad it tasted salty dry greasy and buttery

After a day shopping at the fashion district, my son recommended Avilas. He had been before with some friends. We were greeted in a friendly manner and our service was good. I had the fish tacos, my son had the soup and our friend ordered a combo plate. All of the food was delicious. I also enjoyed the chips and salsa. Will return when I am in the area.

So very accommodating when I ask them for substitutions or just plain chicken broth. Their chicken mama Avila soup is legendary but if you are on dietary restriction and had to drink only broth and liquid protein for a week then this made it all possible. I have never ever succeeded to make broth as tasty as what they make in house. My personal favorite when not on a strict diet plan is their vegetable plate with chicken. The best tasting grilled veggies and chicken with salad and beans enough to make tasty tacos for 2 people.
