The food was pretty good, but a bit more expensive for its quality. The ambiance and log cabin theme is probably what is being paid for. The staff was friendly and they have a throwing peanut shells on ground thing that was kinda fun. Pork sliders were pretty good and chips were good. I didn't care for the happened as it didn't have much flavor. They served it with a house special blue cheese that made the calamari passable but an unusual combo. Drinks were ok.

Look, I love the salads and bread, and our entrees were all good, and it was a special occasion, so we were pleased. However, I was caught off guard and ordered a special Tomahawk steak without asking the price. It is just a bone-in ribeye with an extra long bone, so the $70 price was outrageous. Next time I'll ask for the prices when the waiter touts the specials.

Ok, so I actually had to do research to post this review as I wasn't clear on whether this was part of a "chain" or whether it was fairly unique. According to what I am able to see quickly trough my research, this "company" has three locations since the 1960's, '66 to be exact. Apparently all are very different. As somebody who grew up in a log cabin, this is one of the only places I can go in Southern California that feels authentic and rustic as if I were walking into a restaurant in a mountain town.

In a portion of their restaurant they still have a stuffed bear. Not the kind your kids are used to cuddling with...an actual bear. While throwing peanuts on the floor has become a gimmick, this place has been doing it since the 60's. Layer on top of that food options that are comparable to any restaurant nearby, and you have a dining quality and experience that is hard to beat. When I am close enough (and have the budget), this is a go-to place for a great dinner.

Came to Clearmans with my family while visiting for the weekend. My husband and I ordered the Tomahawk steak and split it being that it was over 32 oz. Probably the best steak we have both ever had. Cooked perfectly! Dinner salad was great, cheese bread was amazing. Sever was friendly and on top of everything. Not my first time here, definitely won't be my last.

If you're not hungry, don't come here. Big portions of good food. Don't think you have to eat it all though. I usually take half home. They don't even ask if you want containers because most people do. I'm sure dessert is good, but I have never lasted long enough to try it!
