I don't eat Thai food often, my first try was a couple years ago, and greatly enjoyed the food. I didn't get what I wanted but that was my fault as I mixed the names of two food items. Regardless, I enjoyed what I unintentionally ordered.
How much imagination does it take to call a Thai restaurant Thai Café? And after entering the non-descript entry dining area, you discover the dining area on the side is quite nice. I couldn't help but notice the bold and unusual paintings hung high on the walls. Found out they were by a famous artist from Thailand who has become friends with the owners. Anyway, first impressions can be wrong-- don't let them keep you away from this gem of a place in old downtown Lancaster.
Food is the best but I think the waitress was new. She didn't know how to pronounce some of the dishes, she served my plate to the wrong people and I was supposed to receive a salad that I never got. Pass that, the food was excellent and I would go back again. Everybody has to start somewhere, so I won't hold it against her.
Outstanding variety of Thai Dishes, excellent quality of food and service.
By far this Thai Cafe is superior to any other Thai / Asian Cuisine in the Antelope Valley. There is a reason you will see more Thai / Asian customers than any other restaurant of this nature.
You have gained several new customers for life. Thank you for many outstanding lunches and dinners.
There are a lot of Thai restaurants in the AV and most of them are quite good but Thai Cafe is by far and away my favorite. There are an abundance of meat and seafood dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan choices, the service is always stellar but they are usually busy (which is a good thing, the food is always super fresh) so don't expect your server to hang out and chat, it's all go, go, go here but I personally like that. The Thai coffee and ice tea is the best out there and the complimentary tapioca dessert is amazing. They also serve beer and wine and the prices are quite reasonable. I can't recommend this place enough honestly.
