The Rib Rack

If you Love 'REAL Barbecue' - in which the flavors of meats are Enhanced by PERFECT smoking (instead of coming ONLY from slathered-on sauce(*), You HAVE TO SAVOR the Great food at "The Rib Rack BBQ & Soul Food" in Lancaster, CA. We found this `nearly-completely open' GEM via Yelp (THANK YOU, prior Reviewers) during this year's Wild Flower trip to the A.V. -- and they INSTANTLY made it to "Destination Status" with their food, and their personable service.

Their deeply-smoked Beef Ribs were the 'meatiest' I've enjoyed in a couple of YEARS - and they went nicely with their SOMEHOW 'Rich-'n-Creamy-yet-LIGHT Macaroni & Cheese, and "Spicy Slaw"; MyPaula chose the "Smoked Rib-Tips" in their "Hot" house-made BBQ sauce(*) - meat so tender that the tips were hard to keep on the fork, bathed in rich "Just RIGHT Heat" sauce- and every morsel (beside the bone) were DELICIOUS. Her sides of "Mixed Greens" (Collards with touches of shredded pork & vinegar for `tang'), and Potato Salad.

THE MAC-n-CHEESE and SPICY SLAW were SO EXCEPTIONAL, that we were STILL EATING our original order, when we called-ahead to Take-Out LARGE sizes of BOTH to have at home!

Recently relocated to the A.V. from the northwest San Fernando Valley town of Pacoima, the place was doing Take-Out Only until the final fixtures are in. This family-run restaurant prepares their main courses & sides with Loving Respect for their Founders; owner Emory Jerro is a warm, Genuine, work-alongside-the-staff kind of Guy, who Does RIGHT by his Customers...

Great flavors, sauce and general ambiance. Unfortunately, they were out of beef ribs early in the day and sides portions seemed a little small.

I didn't eat from here personally, I did however have an uber order out of there on 3/16/19. The atmosphere was amazing, good vibes all the way. Food smelled absolutely amazing. The staff? Top notch!!! From that alone, I will definitely become a regular for my own eats. Thanks guys!

Use to go here as a kid, there location was in pacoima at the time. I swear I never thought I would see this place ever again. the food is still amazing! So glad it's back and my family is too! A must try! You will definitely fall in love. Great ribs, great wings, great food! A1
