This is as real as you can get to authentic Jamaican food!

We ordered escovitch fish. It was made fresh and it took 1/2 hour. Also ordered festival, and cabbage.
The seasoning on everything was perfect. On point! Period. The fish was fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and flakey, moist and soft on the inside. You know the seasoning is going to epic when you see whole allspice seeds!!! Yup. Saw them!
Rice and peas. Check - epic.
Cabbage. Check - more epic-ness.
Festival. Nice thick crust - warm gooey center. Check.
My wife ordered the jerk chicken. And just like the fish - the spices were singing.

This place is not for the faint of heart. If you don’t have some Jamaican blood in your veins protecting your taste buds from spice overload - you will succumb. Can’t lie. The spice is real.

Anytime I’m back in LA - I’ll be here getting my Jamaican food fix. I’ll “Bird Box” the menu - picking things with a blindfold - because it’s all good!!!

Great Jamaican Cuisine choices. I loved the caliloo and Veggie Patties!

Just stopped by for my first time today and it was delicious, quick, and good service. The curry chicken lunch special was great and so were the beef patty’s. I plan on bringing my family and trying much more (oxtail first) and recommend it to everyone.
