    In the heart of Bixby Knolls awaits quite possibly one of the best pastrami sandwiches you will find in Southern California. Yes, the usual suspects are to the north but there is no reason to make the trek any longer. Stop in, check out the menu and if you're skeptical order the basics. Pastrami on rye, potato salad and a pickle. If you're adventurous try one of the house specials. Whatever you do try something sweet or take something home. Everything is made in house and guaranteed to bring you back. And, this is Long Beach so there is plenty of parking and easy access from all points north, south, east or west.

    Good, hearty sandwiches. I had the Bixby Reuben with *lean* corned beef. The rye bread was a little stale, but passable. Got the Cole slaw side. That was fresh.

    The meatloaf is delicious. My child enjoys the hamburger and fries. The food and the service has never disappointed us!
