CaliChilli - unauthentic Indian Restaurant

This place is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. The food is fantastic. "Unauthentic" may steer off some people, but it's an honest admission that the chefs have taken liberties and steered off authentic recipes, but what results is delicious.

The popular dish seems to be Butter Chicken Pot Pie, with its flaky outer pastry crust hiding a delicious butter chicken inside. However the big winner for our group was the Sticky Ribs. We tried a few drinks as well, including an old fashioned and a mango margarita which were both typical but with a hint of Indian spices.

The service was super friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Would definitely come here again!

Tucked away in a nondescript building, is this beautifully decorated restaurant. Staff is so welcoming and very attentive. From the entry to our exit. The true shining star is the food. Masterfully done with so much bursting flavor bombs. We enjoyed every last morsel and would love to come back to try more dishes. If you find yourself in the area make this a must try on your list!

Blissful ambiance, contemporary and innovative dishes, beautiful presentations, and so much more. When we go back, I’ll remember to take pictures of all the food and drinks. Portions are family style. Worth the try!

Amazing Indian food with a modern twist! The food are delicious but also playful and contain some surprising elements in both the presentation and taste. It feels like a down-to-earth michilin restaurant that takes everyday food to the next level. Would highly recommend!

This new find of ours is one of the best in LA vicinity. Hidden gem seriously! Presentation was amazing! Service by Issac was immaculate. Everything we tried was very delicious. Will be going there often now.
