House of Pies

Where do you get dozens of delicious fresh homemade pies in the middle of the night. Here! Simply amazing. They also have a regular non pie menu but just can’t get anything else other than by when I come here.

The pies are great! You can get breakfast for dinner and dinner for breakfast ( so my bf had a chicken pot pie at 10 am; very liberating)! The service was fast, the coffee was fresh and plentiful. The parking was sparse. I remember the meatloaf being amazing if you like mushrooms (and I do), but on this trip I had a tuna BLT with avocado, which was big enough for two meals. It's a good place to stop for a bite after going to Griffith Observatory.

I've been going to House of Pies for years, since the late 90's early 2000's. The food there whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert is amazing! Hence, "House of Pies," their pies are truly delicious. My personal favorite is the Banana cream pie. Their french toast is perfect, it's not dry or too fluffy like other places. Also, their service is great! Waiters speak both Spanish and English like many restaurants throughout the area and super friendly !!!!!

Our group visited the House of Pies late one evening after attending a play where it seemed pies and baked goods were the main characters. We were definitely in the mood for pie after those few hours and House of Pies hit the spot with tremendous power. Our server was entertaining as she listed the pies available at the late hour, oh so many to choose from! Please bring a small group and share your choices! Enjoy.
