Really amazing beef noodles! Best Vietnamese restaurant ever!
Delicious food, S.O. and I had the banh mi bbq pork sandwhich, beef soup, and chicken noodle soup. The vegetables were fresh no sogginess about them and slightly crunchy in the soup, the meat was also a great quality, paired well with broth and seasoning.
The bbq chicken banh mi blew me away, some of the best banh mi I've had was in San Francisco, however I am changing my opinion because this sandwhich was out of this world. The chicken was chunky and not fake like some sandwhich shops use, the pickeled carrots and jicama was not overbearing and really brought the sandwich together.
The resturant itself was very clean and had a new feeling on the inside. The outside is slightly daughting being in an older chinatown and on the corner tucked away; but when you walk in the staff greets you warmly and cooks everything for you immediatley after ordering.
Would absoulutley return with friends and family. Thank you, again!
Hidden somewhere in a strange shopping center near the Castro is a Vietnamese sandwich shop called Bưu-Điện Restaurant. I decided to check it out because of the quality G+ score and the unusual name.
One banh mi sandwich later, I can confirm that both are accurate.
Inexpensive bahn mis. Quick and simple. No nonsense place. There is barely place but you can places orders ahead of time and pick them up.
Wonderful small Vietnamese restaurant. Authentic food and great sandwiches. The family is so friendly. The food was delicious. Try the coconut drink coming in a real coconut. It is very refreshing. These people deserve your visit. Will definitely come back someday.
