Hop Merchants is a new, amazing, craft beer bar smack in the middle of the North Hollywood Arts District, a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and my new personal favorite place! (BONUS: They have a HUGE parking lot in the back!) The owners truly know their beer. As brewers themselves, I look forward trying their beers after sampling the hand-picked brews they serve on tap. Everything about the beers they choose for their bar are not only unique and delicious, but they have something for everybody and will let you sample - this is the place to broaden your beer horizons. They also sell bottles and cans that you can enjoy at the bar, or take to-go, which makes it a great place to buy a gift for a beer lover, or to take a special bottle to a party - which I did myself on their opening night and the beer was a HUGE hit. They don't serve food, but they sometimes have food trucks, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to order food in from and enjoy with your beer (Little Toni's for pizza is a nearby favorite), but with all the delivery services these days, ordering food from nearly anywhere in the area is no problem - to me, this makes for a fun night out with friends. I don't even live in NoHo, but drive from WeHo to come here and relax with friends over amazing beer and good company. Already looking forward to my next visit and it hasn't even been 24 hours since my last!
