I visited Shrimp Daddy at the Sunday Smorgasburg near LA's Art District. It's free entry and offers large amount of food trucks. Shrimp Daddy had one of the longest lines in the crowd so I knew it would be good.
It's Hawaiian food and their top seller is garlic shrimp, Hawaiian mac & cheese, and rice in a half pineapple. It's expensive ($15+), but it's filling! The shrimp are tasty, but be warned they do NOT come shelled. I struggled to shell them as they come out so hot and the sauce is on the skin.
Other than that, it was good and it was refreshing to eat the pineapple after you're done with the main part of the meal.
Also, you'll wait 10 minutes for your food, which isn't horrible comparably.
Had the pineapple plate at 626 market. Best shrimp I've ever had.
The shrimp was so good, shell and all!!! So flavorful!!!
