Really great food nice people and good prices. Lots of variety. Looking forward to going back
One of my favorite vegan places, my only gripe is that I wish they were opened later. I get it the location isn't the best spot, but maybe move to a busier part of Woodland Hills?? I love the many different dishes they make and always like to try a different dish and they are mmm mm good!!
I was not expecting to find such an tasty menu when staying in town for a couple of days. Not only was the quality of the food top notch, but the variety of flavors and dishes. The sauces were excellent, and it was refreshing to be able to order anything on the menu without having to ask constantly if anything was vegan.
I have no real critiques, hence the score. Apart from the parking, I didn't have a bad experience. I even found myself buying some of the snacks to go.
The name says it all: The Vegan Joint. Plain, simple and good. This location is part of a small chain: Hollywood, the Valley, downtown and West LA.
Try the chicken and pancakes. Yes, vegan chicken with vegan pancakes. Try the (soy) beef and sliced fried potatoes. Vegan! Soups and wraps, all of them - Vegan! Really, satisfying comfort foods.
I drop by on long or bad days and I feel better. You can look at the menu and order anything... anything!
Knowledgeable friendly servers. Easy underground free parking. Enter from Ventura Blvd, turn left (West), and drive under the building and make a first turn left (South) into the under building parking. The well marked restaurant door is on the west wall.
Patio and indoor seating are wheelchair accessible, including the gender nutural bathroom.
And yes, they have vegan cakes and cookies, too.
