That sushi guy from Mammogh Lakes, Ca has a sushi place in Westwood...no rolls! If you want amazing and high quality sushi that’s authentic and simple and you don’t need to douse it in soy sauce, you need to eat here. Shin the sushi chef is so fun and makes you feel like you are a guest of his, it is a special and personalized experience eating at his sushi bar. TheOmakasu menu was some of the best quality fish I’ve had, maguro, yellow tail, salmon, salmon roe, monk fish, a variety of snappers, uni...Shin creates simple flavors unique to and specially for each fish and ingredient. He knows how to create the perfect subtle seasoning of sauce to let the ingredients sing for themselves. He doesn’t make rolls and doesn’t give you wasabi and soy sauce because he does need to, each course was perfect. Mai the host was lively and gave exceptional service and was such a pleasure to talk to. Truly a special dining experience, cannot day enough except I will be back.Every detail was planned out and the toilet is heated, just like in japan.

Great new addition to the neighborhood. Clean modern decor, chill vibes, interesting sake list, and seriously amazing sushi!! The chef’s choice menu (omakase) is to die for! Highly recommended.
