Whoa! We flew into LA and went directly to The Grain for breakfast. So good!! The portions we're perfect, the flavors we're superb, and the staff was incredible! Best vegan breakfast I've eaten while traveling. Definitely recommend this little gem.
This place is great. I've been twice now and both times were amazing. The coffee was good and they gave free refills. I got the wellness shot the second time and it was spicy but so delicious and made me feel super energized! There is usually not a lot of traffic and I genuinely don't understand why because the food and service is top notch.
The Deluxe Burger was on point and filling, but I would have preferred more potatoes with it. However, I do like that they are conscious enough to recognize that there is a serious issue with food waste, so I believe that this is a part of their effort to minimize the disaster that is food waste. So I can really appreciate that!
Avocado looked and tasted fresh, and the total cost was relatively reasonable. I've certainly paid less for more, but this was still a satisfying experience. I would return, for sure. Breakfast options look amazing, and they are much more affordable.
Quiet ambiance, and we went at a less busy hour and day - Christmas morning. Service could have been a smidge better, considering there weren't many patrons at the time of our visit. We had a young waiter, however, so perhaps that's why the service wasn't as on point as could be.
Super delicious! Two of us got a savory crepe and the other two got The Grain pancakes and links. The tofu eggs are very flavorful, and the links taste like real sausage links (if you're going for that). The lattes were also really good. We'd definitely come again! Plenty of seating, too.
Out of town visit from Kansas City, finished LA visit with a nice, quiet meal at Grain Cafe.
Veggie burger was decently impressive, avocado tasted fresh, as well as the tomato. Very pretty presentation and all around filling. It's a bit on the pricey side for the burger, and there *definitely* needs to be more potato cubes to go with the meal. All around, I was satisfied and would certainly return for other options. Vegan breakfast feasts look/sound great, so I'd likely try that next time!
