It's a buffeteria style take out with extensive choices of homemade dishes. Food is delicious here. Flavor is wonderful. However, it tends to be very oily. It's the trade-off, unfortunately. So you have to decided for yourself whether you still would like to purchase and consume it. Once in a while is okay (everything in moderation). The portions given are pretty hefty. You will be overstuffed after eating a 1 item combo. Even the a la carte items are generous portions.
When it's busy, you can easily wait up to 45 minutes to get your food. During dinnertime, when the wait is that long, the food you were waiting to get sometimes get sold out by the time your number is called. So expect to choose sometimes nothing when you come after 7pm. However, should you get lucky and still get the food you want, prices are discounted for a la carte items after 7pm.
I only gave it 3 stars for the sometimes excruciatingly long wait and the greasiness of the food. But I'll still pass by from time to time to get food.
So far so homemade tasting, especially dishes with coconut milk or ginataan like laing. Our go-to for comfort Filipino food.
I always stop by here after my doc visit at kaiser sunset bmt clinic. And also when I'm admitted there too, I tell my friend to get me food here. Food are so delicious! Saraaap!
