Excellent service. Great country cooking.
I had never been there before today. First off, the waitress gave me plenty of time to study the menu as I drank my Mtn Dew she brought me right away. I saw her looking my way to see if I was ready as she took care of the other customers. I ordered open-faced roast beef with a salad and a roll on the side and apple pie with ice cream. It was the tenderest roast beef I have EVER had in a restaurant or Cafe. The REAL mashed potatoes were really real and seasoned jut right. The homemade hot yeast roll was twice the size I had expected and it made me think of my Grandma. The apple pie did not come out until I told her I was ready. It was hot and the ice-cream was cold. Just like it should be. The pie crust was obviously home made and delicious! I HIGHLY recommend eating here if you like delicious country folk food. I will be going back every time I get the chance.
First time here....service was positive and professional....food was great....cost $-$$.......I will be back.....also - the country diner is across the S63 from the PHILLIPS 66 TRUCK STOP......IF YOU LOVE FAMILY COUNTRY COOKN......AND LOVE YOUR LOCALLY RAISED MEATS AND EGGS .....PLEASE TAKE A SHORT DRIVE NORTH OF WEST PLAINS AND SIT ASPELL AT THE DINER AND ENJOY A DINER THAT IS FAMILY OWNED AND SUPPORTS LOCAL MEATS .....YUMMY.....SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANT.......SEE YOU THERE......
The best amazing service and food.
Absolutely loved the food. Fast friendly service. Highly recommended.....
This place is amazing! There a bunch of Mexican restaurants on Cesar Chavez but this place is the best from all. It definitely has the feel of a hole In the wall, but the taste will blow you away. I recommend chilaquiles con huevo and the memela. The chilaquiles may be a little spicy for some, just be aware. The prices are modest and the portions are generous. The only downside is the location. Being on Cesar Chavez there is never any parking and you may have to park at least 3-4 blocks away. But it is worth it! Try it, you will not be disappointed!
I Love El Tapatio's It Is Always Good Food Food And Lovable Vibes. ????✌️????
Had lunch here on Thursday I got the chilaquiles 9/10. Husband got the birria w/rice and beans 5/10, he wasn't satisfied with the fatty meat. MIL got a fried mojarra 8/10, was on the small side. Waitress was super friendly and made sure we had tortillas and our drinks. Definitely recommend for a quiet and home feel atmosphere.
I cried into my carne en so jugo. Tears of joy of course. Home made tortillas!
