Lamonica's NY Pizza

The staff are very friendly and just really cool people. I usually get pepperoni and the pizza is always fresh and delicious. It is pretty close to real NY pizza. Definitely recommend to give them a try if you are close to the UCLA Campus.

This place delivers a killer NY style slice. The cheese is delicious and salty mozzarella not like the flavorless cheese at chain pizza joints They offer a gigantic extra large sized pizza that is as much fun to look at as it is to eat. You can dine in get delivery The place gets busy so be patient when getting delivery. If you want a great deal order after 9pm for specials or the Monday buy one get one free staring at 530pm.This place is just plain yum.

I don't exactly understand the rave reviews... The crust is so wet/flimsy that I had to eat it with a fork, because all the ingredients would just slide right off. I was coughing due to a spicy thing that got in my throat and the server wouldn't give me a normal cup for water, he had to go to the back to get the special water cup. (I guess he was more afraid of me stealing Pepsi than choking?) My friend loves the place which is why we went. But there are other pizza places in Westwood I'd prefer...

The pizza here is SO FRESH and they don't skimp out on the ingredients - you truly get a lot of cheese, arugula, and prosciutto if you order the prosciutto pizza! The ambiance here is also nice - you can watch them prepare and cook the pizzas in the fire oven from the open bar seating. Can't wait to come back to try the lasagna!
