Delicious at the Dunbar is delicious! Ordered the chicken tacos and nachos. Chicken was nice and crispy. The salsa was nice and spicy. Love that it's close to my house!!
10/10 would recommend.
I’ve been here multiple times for breakfast and dinner and I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Their food portions are big enough to share with another person. From my experience, I recommend the Chicken Sausage Omellete, Chicken Nachos and Sweet Potato Fries (we’re hooked on these). They have a great variety of beer. Customer service is excellent. Adriana, Sharla, Megan and Chanel are great hosts, friendly and welcoming. This is truly the place to be on a Friday evening and sink in the live jazz music.
This unique place is excellent and very under rated for the amazing service and food it provides! Great charm and southern/modern atmosphere with very friendly service. I had the fried chicken, macaroni, and mashed potatoes and it was very good. The design and layout of the place is very cool and modern, and the food is made to order and simply delicous. The oxtail here is amazing , and the place has a very unique Hispanic flair with a variety of tacos and other dishes to choose from. We also had the cobbler and banana pudding, which both tasted very good and we're satisfying.
All in all, I highly recommend to check this place out, the soul food here is great !
I have been here twice and will have to return again in hopes of upgrading this review to 5 stars. My first visit was an early Sunday morning for breakfast. On first glance it gave a very good vibe. Very nice visually. The meal was certainly good enough for my to decide to return for the full experience. On that return, I was 'not' greeted by the hostess/waitress who was on her cellphone and proceeded to inform me that 'it was her manager' on the phone. I'm just going to list the problems that followed after that. No drink order taken with the order. Had to request silverware twice AFTER the food had been sitting in front of us for at least 5 minutes. Just laid the napkins and silverware in a pile when it finally did arrive. The corn muffins were overcooked to the point of being burnt around the edges. That said... The rest of the food was absolutely fine and as I said, I will return again because I would love to give this establishment a fully glowing review.
Great soul food and Mexican-soul fusion. I recommend the ribs, sweet bread, macaroni and cheese, and the potatoes, nom! They also serve beer and wine. This place is located in a historic building and the beautiful renovation plays tribute to that history in its decor. You will see wall-sized photos of the musical legends that played at the Dunbar. I definitely recommend eating here.
