Larsen's Steakhouse

Amazing. Food is delicious, service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

The pitch is 'High-class Steakhouse', but the delivery is slightly less.
The restaurant is located in a two story mini-mall in Encino. Parking is underneath & will cost you $5 to self-park. The room itself is small in comparison to typical steakhouses and lacks the leather booths you get at Musso, Ruth's Chris or practically all others. I was there a little after 6 on a Friday and it was packed already. I ordered the dry aged New York strip and, at $65, it wasn't as infused and flavorful as you'd expect, but it did have the nutty nuance dry ageing produces. It's not a rip-off, but expensive for the overall product. I asked for bread twice and never got it. Sides were tasty and generous.
Overall, the service is ok and the quality is good, but at $100 for a steak, two half sides and one drink, the price point is too high. Better steaks with better service are available elsewhere.

We had our holiday luncheon here. The staff were courteous and welcoming. Will definitely go back again. Several of my co-workers go to Larsen for lunch. They raved about the food.

Nice to have a chance to thank everyone at Larsen's Steakhouse for our wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The incredibly gracious staff served us a perfect meal (on hot plates). All of us appreciated the obvious time and energy that went into making things work so well. Not an easy thing to do on a holiday with a restaurant full of high expectations. Loved every minute there.
