Royal Orchid

Like the rest of the reviews there's nothing much special aside from the fact that they have bigger serving of thai milkshake. The place is small and cozy. As for the food its not the best, but a little bit more of coconut milk on my favorite pineapple chicken curry will earn them 5 star from me.

It was a little place. Not much space, like a mom & pop restaurant. Cute little spot. It was a bit busy so service was somewhat slow. I ordered the Crab Fried Rice & Papaya Salad like I always do. It's my favorite! I called first to make sure they had my favorites ???????????????? My bf ordered the Combination Fried Rice. He also ordered a Chai Tea, in which he liked.

My fried rice came & I dug in. I can't EVER remember to take a picture of my food before I chow down. ???? What can I say, I'm a ???????????????? The rice was a bit mushy. Trust me, I know. Im a rice expert. I'm half korean and grew up eating rice straight from the womb.???????? I was taken back because my eggs & crab were mixed together and placed on top of my fried rice. ???????? I've never seen this technique before. I have to admit, I hated it!???? Why would I order crab fried rice to have it placed on top of my rice? Makes no sense. Anyhow, I tasted it and I didn't have "WOW" factor like I normally do when I try Crab Fried Rice for the first time. I had to eat it with my Papaya Salad for flavor. I also asked the waiter for fresh chili peppers in fish sauce. He made it fresh for me????. Between the chili in fish sauce & the papaya salad, my fried rice was edible. I would not order crab fried rice from there anymore.

The papaya salad was amazing!!!???????????????? My bf liked his combo fried rice. All in all the restuarant was ok. I should definitely go back for the papaya salad.

One last thing I did not like. The gentleman dropped a little plastic sauce cup on the dirty floor & he picked it up & put it in the draw. I thought he would throw it away because I saw him. But I don't think he saw me.????????. They have an A grade rating so im assuming it's a safe clean place other than that.

Honestly, the food and atmosphere are very much in the 2-star range, but the people are really nice and provide good service so they get the additional star. Traditional curry and noodle dishes with nothing crazy on the menu. Free parking right outside and they serve hot tea, beer, and sodas.

We will certainly come back to this place. The food tastes good, they cooked my vegetables exactly how I want it cooked. Service is good, plus with summer coming, the aircon is great too. Their menu have a lot of variations, not to mention the very reasonable price. I will recommend this place to my friends or to anybody who likes healthy Thai food.
