    I have been hoping to have a good middle eastern food restaurant near me. The few near me are ok but not great. I happened to look up at a big sign near Van Nuys and Ventura boulevard and saw the word ALCABAR at the bottom and shawarma and other things and I'm all WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!? Kind of hidden down on the back of a mini mall with a cigar place next door. I ordered a Chicken Lula, a pair of falafel balls, fries and a piece of baklava. I noticed that it was Lebanese which is my favorite style so I ask if they have Jallab which wasnt on the menu. I asked, he said yes with a secret smile, it isnt on the menu. Jallab is a Date and rose water syrup that they add ice and pine nuts. I love it so much I almost loose my mind when I drink it. I also have a secret place I buy the syrup, ask me and I will tell you. Just get it here, he sells it cheaper than other places. The falafel balls were light weight and airy, never seen that before. SOOOOOO GOOD! The chicken was great, garlic sauce great, hummus great, a little dipping thing of olive oil which I never did before, great on the chicken and the fries, who knew! So in love with this place!

    Loved this place!!! Food was amazing, plenty of vegetarian options and the owners were really wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!
