Me and my partner went as an early v-day dinner. She ordered the sea uchin pasta and I got the tomato cream with veggies.
They don’t really have vegetarian options but they will substitute meat for veggies. It’s pricy so I would def come prepared to spend big.
My partner said their pasta was delicious and complex and I had a bit and I definitely say so as well but I did not eat much since I’m vegetarian!
I would say mine was a little flat. I believe sugar belongs in pasta and I don’t think they put any. But I will def try a different dish the next time I come to maybe a different sauce base!
Good bread as well! ????
I had the Arrabiata and the sauce we very, very good. Came with a nice small side salad and bread with butter. If the pasta was home made it would have knocked it out the park but still very good. I definitely recommend it.
Cozy restaurant with friendly service and delicious pasta! The menu isn't overwhelming, which I appreciate. Their pasta sauces are delicious!
An Italian pasta shop run by Japanese folks in a predominantly Latino town who's existence hinged on the achievements of an Irish Immigrant.
The place really is a microcosm of the city.
The restaurant and its bathrooms are clean, and the service prompt and friendly. There isn't much of a crowd for lunch, don't know why; it was pretty good.
I got the tomato lunch special. For a $11 item, it was pretty well-made and seasoned; seemingly a feat for dishes with bacon in them.
I'll definitely be back, it's a charming place, even though the oil on the salami was a bit much.
I enjoy the casual atmosphere and great food. The prices have increased, but the food is great. I had a turkey melt that was awesome. I had an iced mocha that was better than a specialty coffee joint's mocha. I could actually taste the coffee, unlike some places that flavor their coffees to death. If you are traveling on I-5 or Highway 20, be sure to stop here. It's a great place to pick up a gift for people you are visiting.
