Good food with a very pleasant atmosphere. Everyone is friendly but service is so-so. It's not full waiter service so I'm not expecting the whole nine yards, but still think they could improve considering the price (13-17$). The tables are often out of things like forks, knives, sugar. 30% of the time they get something in the order wrong.
Overall I always come back because it's yummy and close but I wish they would improve their service.
Got the chicken and waffles. It was OK. The breading is what was seasoned. If you don’t get a bite of the breading with the chicken it’s very bland. Hubby had the blueberry pancakes Mia’s breakfast. Looked good but it was just average. Had a lemon ginger muffin but it was super dry. I didn’t even bother to take it with me. For $40 I had hoped to be wild.
Meh. It's fine. This place is a favorite among SO families and lunch moms in workout wear. The food is good enough, but heavy on salad. Everything comes with greens, often unadorned with anything like a vegetable or a cucumber or whatever. I just find that lazy, but they have such a brisk lunch/brunch crowd in clearly in the minority. Generally I find this place overpriced for what it is. You stand in line to counter order, have to fetch your own water and set your own table. Getting a second cup of coffee is by request only, judging by my experience. There is no indoor seating, but a partially covered patio. It's cute and fine, but when I go out to eat, I like to feel like I'm out to eat. I don't feel that way when I'm hassling in a line to order and elbowing my way to the communal water tap.
4 because of price. But what do I know. My brain still is frozen from the polar vortex in Chicago. Food was outstanding. Service exceptional. I'm the guy who still thinks a good breakfast can be had for under $5. Go here! Bite the bullet!
The ambiance is very cozy and romantic. The food is okay. Though I wouldn't come because of the food, I would come back for the cozy unique indoor outdoor romantic setting.
The service is fabulous.
