This place has become my new favorite spot when craving Taiwanese comfort food. Let me start by saying, if there's a line don't be intimidated and leave. Stay, trust me it's worth every second. I like to order a beef roll, scallion pancake, taro root, and wood ear mushroom! Pair this all with one of their large choices of beer or tea and you're in for a treat. The staff do an excellent job of quickly clearing and filling tables.

Overall, this is one of the restaurants in the area that knows what they're doing and this becomes apparent after experiencing a meal with them.

We have been going there for years now and not once was the food different or didn't taste exactly the same.
Everything is delicious there and at this point we have tried everything on their menu.
The least interesting item is the pan fried pork buns.
I wish the staff was friendlier and that they change the ordering system because the line can get long!

Pine and Crane is a trendy Taiwanese restaurant that also has some decent beer and alcohol options, which is rare for a Taiwanese place. The food here is good and as long as you aren’t expecting it to taste like you are in Taipei you will be quite happy.

    Recommendations: Beef roll

The one item you will find on most tables is the beef roll. This is the one stand out item I had here. It is better than a lot of places that I have had in Taiwan. The ratio of scallion, cucumber, hoisen sauce, and beef is really well done.

I would stay away from the three cup chicken. I am really annoyed when this dish isn’t made without Thai basil. The taste is not right without it. Additionally, there isn’t the right amount of sugar. This dish should taste a tad bit sweet.

Deliciousness all around. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Beef rolls were a favorite. Order as much as you can to try everything; will be a ton of food, but prices are very reasonable. Great drinks and typical trendy decor.

Fatima, the terrific woman with the delightful French accent at the cash register set the tone. The owner caught our eye with an incredible smile. Everyone there treated us wonderfully, and did I mention the food? The beef-stew-noodles and shrimp wontons just killed.

I think they got themselves one more happy customer!
