The Village Idiot

Enjoyed a nice dinner with my wife here. It was a bit of a busy night and they took a little while with our appetizers, but they were very kind and attentive. The staff was very courteous and respectful. The owner brought by the food himself and apologized for the inconvenience. All in all, nice ambiance, friendly staff and good service. Unfortunately, not many vegetarian options, had the shepherd's pie myself. It wasnt bad.

I've been enjoying the Village Idiot's excellent menu of pub food for well over a decade. Burger, Shepherd's Pie, Sausages are all outstanding. Plenty of beer on tap and the wine list never disappoints. Service is always A++, provided by interesting people who take great pride in their work and a deep interest in what they're offering. Get there early to enjoy a booth in the enormous picture windows. And a little pro tip... there's plenty of free parking on the side streets if you're willing to walk more than one block north or one block south of Melrose.

I like to go here for casual dinning. Relaxed atmosphere and great food! The veggie pie is recommended! It looks small but it's actually really filling.

Excellent fish and chips, shrimp and fish tacos. Tartar and cocktail sauces were great. Limited seating but well worth it. Food came out steaming hot and fresh. They also have malt vinegar delish!

It's a very trendy place. Perfect date night or commemorative spot.

This place is really ambiance. And I think the happy hour is completely worth it.

The food is possibly better than the drinks. They're okay drinks.
