    A fav location for tasty Japanese food. Got there about three, it wasn't crowded. Looking forward to a return visit. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I liked.

    This is a jewel Japanese Restaurant in Brentwood. If you order an Omakase, sushi might only be an option. Takao, the master of quite a few sushi chef (including a top ranked one) in WLA, serves quite a few of un-common Japanese dish. This old style joint has a feel of traditional Japanese restaurant in Japan except that most of customers by the bar might be westerners. I usually just seated there and told chef how much I would like to spend for that night and let him taking care the rest.

    The quality was very good and they had some interesting dishes. I think the price was a bit high for the ingredients and overall creativity though. I would prefer to go to Shiki for these prices, felt Takao was missing that wow factor that they are charging for.
