Wow what a place! Great customer service and amazing food I will be coming here more often.
First off, I'd like to caveat that I am a huge fan of the An family's Crustacean and frequent The District religiously. I first tried this fast casual spin on the Vietnamese fusion offered in those more upscale establishments because of its close proximity to my apartment, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the food. Although the menu is definitely a simplified variation of the offerings at The District, everything tasted absolutely fantastic! I am a huge fan Hannah's garlic noodles and was ecstatic to find them available here as well. I have been to this particular location three times now, and have experimented with handful of new menu items each time (garlic noodles, banh mi, chicken wings, and pho previously), and this time I tried the beef luc lac and the spring rolls. The portion was fair for the price, but I was most impressed by how tender the meat came out. Have to give them props for presentation too- the neon onion halos (THANKS I LOVE ONIONS) made it feel like I was digging into a flower garden, almost couldn't bring myself to do it. But I did. And it was worth.
Make sure to get Hannah's noodles if you deserve to treat yourself. I haven't had much Vietnamese food but this was a great place to try it out. Coming back with friends next week to try some more things but overall great experience so far.
My first experience here was pretty good. It's Vietnamese food and it's not bad. I've had better Vietnamese food downtown but for what the offer it's decent. I wasn't disappointed it was just that I've had better. If I'm jonesing for some Vietnamese food and I can't make it downtown I'd go here. The prices are a little steep but everything is at the University village.
