Don't listen to what anyone else says, Sushi Zo is bar none the best sushi in the city. I've been to most of the other nice sushi spots (barring Urasawa and Sushi Nozawa) and this takes the cake. The perfect warm rice and each piece played separately and perfectly seasoned or sauced so there's minimal thinking and futzing and maximum enjoyment. It's ridiculously expensive so I've only been twice but worth it every time.

My favorite Omokase place. There's about 20 courses and it's reservations only. Servers and sushi chef are really nice. It's a bit of a splurge but well worth a visit for a special event.

I can't go back to Hama or any other sushi restaurant anymore. It's like, once you go black, you don't go back.

...uh, such an unclassy analogy. Sorry, it's 2:30 a.m. Discounted brain function.

Anyway, thanks, Zo, for setting the bar so ridiculously high, especially for someone who's not yet at the pay grade that would allow daily, weekly, or even monthly visits (I paid $150 before tax and tip for 29 courses).

It’s a fantastic although pricey sushi place! Reservations required. I like the ‘surprise me’ menu idea as it made me curious about what the next dish would be. Never been disappointed by those surprises so far. Chef and staff are very nice! It’s definitely a great place if you want to have some memorable time with people who are important to your life:)

Walking into An is like walking into a sushi restaurant in Tokyo. The ambiance and food transports you into another world. We had the special Omakase menu and it was amazing.
