I love love love the food at this restaurant. Very friendly, approachable and thoughtful staff. And the honey wine is amazing. My family and I dine there quite often.

It's a modest joint that's tucked away rather unobtrusively-- it lookrd closed for business from the outside when we visited (bustling inside). The food is quite good and cheap. A huge vegetarian platter was only $12.99 (overfed two of us but could probably feed 3-4 comfortably). It's a small place but pretty crowded during lunch hour with one server for the whole place, so service can be a little slow but friendly and warm nonetheless. If I were going out for a romantic ambiance, I'd probably pick another place on Fairfax but this place is solid for a quick, casual bite.
