What I ate:
Fried chicken (half order, white meat),
Mac n cheese,
Gravy on rice,
Black eyed peas,
Corn bread.
The fried chicken was good. It deserves 4 stars.
Corn bread was pretty good.
However, everything else was just okay. Gravy on rice was kind of bland. Rice was soggy (not from the gravy). Black eyed peas were a bit salty (although this was the first time I was eating black eyed peas. I have nothing to compare it to.
I wasn't sure about this place but after buying my fried turkey there for thanksgiving (delicious) I figured their food had to be good to. The oxtails are soo good just make sure you get the gravy on the side. The mac and cheese reminded me of roscoes, but the greens were a little sweet for my taste but still good. A+ in my book
