Deceptively simple food. Complex layers of flavor in sauces to add on top of beautiful bases like hummus, eggplant etc. lodge bread, pita made on site. for a lactose intolerant vegetarian like me this is heaven.
Went to one of their closed door prepaid dinners months ago and still think about it. Hope they will offer more.
If you seriously avoid wheat or gluten, please be aware that fried items (eggplant, falafel and french fries) are no longer gluten free because of cross-contamination in the frying oil. (They added a new dessert that fries pita in the same oil.). But the chef is very conscientious and helpful, and will definitely keep all of us with celiac disease and food allergies safe. Make sure to identify your needs to him and he will help you. He took care of me this afternoon and I had a delicious lunch - the newly added butternut squash plate.
I ordered a delivery from this place the other day:
Shakshuka which was a wonderful surprise since it wasn't exactly as I'm used to but it was really good. I would add the option to have it a little more spicy which would make it perfect.
I also ordered a side of hummus. I loved the fact that it had no citric acid traces which means that it's prepared on site. It was very tasty which means it's also fresh.
A side of falafel was also good but nothing out of the ordinary.
The pita bread is one of the best I've had.
I will definitely order from this place again.
This place is fantastic! The decor is modern, clean and light. The food is very high quality. Easy to find something tasty for vegetarians. Best hummus I've ever eaten. I will be back!
Had a very very good experience at Hasiba. Food is 100% authentic and fresh and you can taste it! Located in the heart of Los Angeles. I went for lunch and the food was all delicious. I suggest the cauliflower, the falafel, and the eggplant hummus. Menu was very small but food was great!
