Mercado Taqueria

This was the second time we've been to Mercado. The service was attentive - the waiter was friendly and plates were whisked away quickly when done - and the food portions were surprisingly generous for the price point and quality. We started with guacamole, and the portion was huge. Easily several avocados worth of guac on the plate. We'd already put our orders in or we might have reduced the number of tacos we got. We then had the chicken tinga tacos, which had a nice little kick. The tortillas were very thick and chewy, and tasted wonderful. We also ordered a pork dish that came out on a tray. It was sort of a build-your-own-taco dish, and was easily big enough to feed two. We paired the meal with the special cazuela of the day, which had muddled strawberry in it. It tasted light and sweet and was very good without being overpowering. For an upscale Mexican meal it's a great stop!

I just had the Carnitas with Al Pastor Cauliflower for lunch on a Sunday and it was INCREDIBLE. Best carnitas I’ve ever had and it’s always my go to! The al pastor cauliflower was amazing, the tortilla chips are fresh, the margaritas were perfect. MUST GO!

This place is an absolute must!! Happy Hour is the perfect time to try a little bit of everything. Their tamales are amazing...with their masa made in-house, you couldn’t ask for better. The service is wonderful as well. Will definitely be back!!
