Dona Chuy's Mexican Food

Great place for Tacos! Nice People.

The carne asada burritos was good. The service was very nice. I will have to come back again.

Though there is a lot of traffic passing by due to its location right off the 210 freeway and Hubbard Street, this little gem is easy to miss. Like the infamous line from Dirty Dancing "Nobody puts Baby in the corner," Dona Chuy's will leave your mouth salivating and the feels, reminiscing your mornings when you'd wake up in your home in México as your abuelita cooks away all your favorite dishes. This place is as authentic as Mexican restaurants come, but just a little more thought and care was put into Dona Chuy's. For one, they made their establishment handicap accessible. A marker that already sets them above other whole in the wall Mexican restaurants. Secondly, unlike a majority of these mom and pop restaurants, this place is technologically up to date with POS system. And third, but certainly not least, is the courteous and hardworking staff which take note to routinely check up on their guests.

I was enjoying the place until their prices weren’t matching the displayed prices. Also pretty slow service. Great if you don’t mind to wait. Not recommended for going on lunches
