Kinda just okay. The menu and prices suggest a big flavorful bite but the fare is rather bland. All of the ingredients mesh into a muted taste on soggy bread. It's almost like idea was to water down a sandwich from New York or Philly.
However, the shake was fairly good. Next time I'll skip the sandwich and go with two shakes.
A pretty cool sandwich place. They have all sorts of different subs to pick from, and they are pretty funky with what they include. Many have fries, gravy, mozzarella sticka, chicken fingers, and more inside! My brother got the Fat Sal and he ate every last bite. They also have more regular types of hero's, and a new breakfast sub.
I have been to Fat Sal's with my son once before, to get sandwiches, and they were absolutely delicious! This time, we went there with the specific intention to get shakes and french fries. And we were not disappointed, mostly. The shakes were absolutely amazing! I got the chocolate marshmallow cream and peanut butter shake. Get it, you will not be disappointed. My son got the coffee with dark chocolate shavings and pretzel Shake. Get that one too! The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the French fries. They didn't suck, but for $3.50 you don't get that much and they aren't anything special. We didn't try their fries with the different toppings because we wanted to dip our fries in the shakes. Well the shakes were incredible, turns out they're not the best flavors for french fry dipping. Which was fine, because the shakes were that good!
