Pappys Seafood

The food was really good. The atmosphere is great. The hostess was awesome. Waitress needs improvement checking back with customers and bringing the complete order to the table. But overall a good eating experience.

This is a nice seafood venue with a bar. Service was polite but slow. I went specifically for their sourdough chowder bowl special which is only $6 on rainy days - quite the bargain! Good chowder in a generous sourdough bowl. Clean restroom.

Food was good,Ahai cooked correctly,salad with vinaigrette dressing delicious, potatoes fixed in a light grill after boiling with light seasoning delicious. Backed mac n cheese with light bread crumbs toasted on top always good.
Crab and tuna dip with the bread pieces was good, a little more toasting on the bread.
Good service, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. ..

Very nice group dinner tonight at the Pappys Seafood in San Pedro, CA . I always like walking in to see oysters on ice. Great seafood selection, with fresh seasonal menu options like halibut and Columbia river salmon (get it while it is in season!). Nice service and full wine selection, went with Stags Leap Cabernet!

I've been here twice already. First time was with a group of about 10. Service was great and good came out at a reasonable time. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers along with their main dishes. Yes, quite a bit is simply deep fried seafood, but generally very tasty. I had the whole fish, it was tilapia by the way. It was cooked perfectly and I found the crusty skin delicious. Second time I went was just myself and one other guy. We sat at a bar table this time. Service was again quick and attentive. I again had the whole fish because I loved it so much the first time. I'll attempt to actually try a different dish next time.... Maybe. I obviously recommend this spot. Aside from the delicious food, the decor and atmosphere/look is great. It's rustic with exposed brick, very cool. Definitely worth checking out.
