Great addition to my neighborhood. The shumai were fresh and delicious. The pad thai flavorful and noodles not overly mushy. The green curry was tasty. Definitely reasonably priced and service was on point.
Hands down one of the best places to eat an awesome and delicious Tom Yum soup. The girlfriend and I go here almost every day. The falstaff already know us and they're very nice too.
All in all 10/10 would highly recommend this cozy spot.
Ever since I saw the sign for The Thai Thing go up earlier this year I have been waiting to try it. I love Thai food and to have a Thai place right across the street from me is more than I could ever ask for.
I waited 3 visits before reviewing so I could get a true sense of the restaurant, especially as I plan on being a regular! A lot of the reviews on here have noted that the service during busy periods is quite slow even non-existent, taking almost forty minutes in some cases to receive meals etc. On my first two visits I did experience the service issues but when I came in for dinner last night I was seated and had my order taken in under ten minutes so perhaps they are getting this under control. It is a brand new restaurant so some growing pains are to be expected.
So far I have tried: egg rolls, yellow curry, the hidden gem curry and the pad see ew. I'm a big fan of their curries! They are super flavourful, the way a Thai curry should be. Yes, you do have to order rice as a side but I'm okay with that. The Thai coffee is delicious and the egg rolls are pretty bomb as well. I especially love that I can bring my dog and sit on the patio, that makes it an even more attractive place to dine.
This is definitely going to be a regular place for me.
I would highly recommend this restaurant! It has great outdoor patio and cozy indoor dining room. The food was absolutely delicious! The food is authentic and prepared original Thai recipes. The food came out fast and i was full after eating my chicken fried rice and egg rolls . I will keep coming back
New to the neighborhood I had heard The Thai Thing was good. Good didn't even begin to describe how great the food is. Wow. I and my buddy were equally impressed. I can't stop thinking about the curry. It was truly a memorable dish. And when you go, make sure to have the fried tofu. Couple the great food with an easy ambiance and attentive service, and this place really wins. And you'll appreciate the reasonable prices, too. Parking is a bit tight in the lot, but there is plenty of street parking right next to the restaurant.
