By far the best diner I have been to across California. I never really thought diners could be that good -- for me they were just a place to hang out during late hours. Crave's menu features pizzas, crepes, cakes and other amazing items, enough to turn this place into a mandatory stop whenever I am in town.
Up beat and trendy with a live crowd of Young folks chilling or just letting the woes of their newly entered adulthood disappear... Yes, this place has a good vibe to it that the up and coming adult youth will enjoy. Even us older 'trendy friendly' folks fit right on in. And the best part, if that wasn't enough, the crepes are to die for. BOMB! You have to try them. You won't regret your night out.
It gets very busy here, especially when you go during the evening! The line gets crazy! So I like to come here when it's less busy, usually during the morning, it's quite empty. We went for breakfast, and got some nice cappuccinos with crepes, which is their specialty. I have tried the lunch menu as well - the paninis are quite good!
Some of the food can be really good. Like every Cafe, I do not like that they do not have actual decaffeinated coffee. But everything else there's good. If the customer service is stellar. The employees are always happy and upbeat. It does not hurt that the owner likes to hire attractive people.
Not really sure why this place has over 4 stars. I've been to a lot of places for breakfast and I can honestly say, I will forget about this place and won't return. Not because the food is horrible because it is not but there was nothing special about it. Nothing stood out. The bagel was the best part about it. The eggs remind me of McDonald's eggs. Flat, folded, and more of an oil taste. The bacon is cheap. If they used premium products, it would def be a much tastier place.
